Special Education/504 Records Destruction

The Special Education/504 Department of the Orenda Charter School District is preparing to destroy personally identifiable information that is maintained to provide educational services to students with disabilities. This information includes referral data, notice/consent documents, assessment protocols, assessment reports and supporting data, and past IEP Documentation. Records on students with disabilities who left the district prior to the 2018/2019 school year will be destroyed.

Reasons for leaving include: graduation; dismissal from special education/504; dropping out; and moving from the district. Parents of students with disabilities or adult persons (age 18 and over) with disabilities whose records will be destroyed may notify Misty Granderson at (512) 869-3020 by July 14, 2023, should they want the records maintained.
